Geoff Ogilvy Wins the First PGA Event

Aussie golfer Geoff Ogilvy wins the SBS Championship -Plantation Course at Kapalua, Maui. Ogilvy shot a 6-under par final round to finish 22 under par and finish one shot ahead of Rory Sabbatini.

The USA have very different ideas when it comes to golf waterproofs than the UK. The Uk want their waterproofs to be fitted, stylish and perform under the most extreme of conditions, where the USA want the same but for the garment to look a little more baggy and unfitted. Maybe this is why Galvin Green are not in the USA yet. The Gore-Tex funky colours and fitted Swedish cut to their waterpoofs maybe would not sell as well as a baggy Footjoy waterproof. Cobra ZL Driver Which Tour Pro’s Will Use It in 2010

The Cobra ZL Driver is the new flagship driver fro 2010 from Cobra Golf. The Titanium driver with carbon crown features a weight moving system which allows the player to remove the head and set the club to fade, go straight or draw. This has already been done by Taylormade an in the modern game is nothing new. Often I find that to much technology scares the club golfer off as they want a simple driver.`saying that the ZL Cobra Driver does look great and feels good of the face.

2010 will see Cobra golf having a strong tour presence, Golf.com reported in August that “According to Brian Parker, Cobra’s manager of tour promotions, Ogilvy saw the club as a prototype, but Tuesday was given the final product for the first time. The Aussie had been using a Cobra S9-1 Pro D (10.5°), but after just one afternoon’s practice with a ZL (9.5) set 1° open with an Aldila RIP 80X shaft, he is planning to use the club this week in the Barclays Championship.

The first shot of each hole can be played from a tee. The tee is a small odject that stands the golf ball off the ground. It is often pushed into the grass and has a small cup shape for the golf ball to sit on.

The ball does not have to be placed into a tee it is optional for the player. Once the first shot has been played then the ball is in play and can not be placed onto a tee until the next hole.

Hitting from a tee is often an easier shot than the ground so it is advised to use a tee to give you every advantage from the begining.

The term golf driver has become the main word for the one wood. Drivers used to have the number one on the bottom of them. The modern game has giving golfers a lot more options in their one woods or drivers. The modern day drivers now have the loft printed on the bottom.

So the term driver has just happened and the one wood is now old fashioned.
